해당 디지털 자산은 업비트 디지털 자산 거래지원 종료 정책에 의거, 투자자 보호를 위해 2023. 4. 2. 12:00에 거래지원을 종료합니다.

  • Nucypher(NU)와 Keep Network(KEEP)가 Threshold(T)로 합병함에 따라 T가 기존 NU의 역할을 대체하였고, 업비트는 2022년 3월 2일 위와 같은 사유로 NU를 유의 종목으로 지정했습니다.
  • 공지 시점 현재까지 Nucypher 관련 사업은 진행되지 않고 있고, 모든 사업은 합병된 Threshold 측에 의하여만 진행되고 있어 NU의 역할은 T에 의하여 완전히 대체되었다고 판단됩니다. 아울러 2023년 2월 28일까지 총 발행량의 과반이 넘는 NU가 T로 스왑됨에 따라 NU의 유동성이 계속해서 감소 중인 점이 확인됩니다.

  • 본 공지 이후, 거래지원 종료 예정인 디지털 자산에 대한 에어드랍, 월렛 업그레이드, 하드포크 등의 서비스는 지원하지 않을 예정입니다.

  • 거래지원 종료 사유
    • NU 프로젝트가 KEEP 프로젝트와 합병하여 T 디지털 자산을 사용하기로 결정함에 따라 2022. 3. 2. NU를 유의 종목으로 지정하였습니다.
    • 업비트는 회원님들이 NU와 T의 시세 차이 발생으로 인한 손해를 입지 않도록 회원님이 NU와 T를 선택하여 거래할 수 있도록 일괄적인 스왑을 진행하지 않았습니다.
    • 유의 종목 지정일로부터 상당한 시일이 경과하여 T가 기존 NU의 역할을 완전히 대체하였고, 유의 종목 지정 기간 동안 기존 NU를 보유하던 회원님들이 해당 자산을 처분하거나 자발적으로 스왑을 진행하기에 충분한 시간을 부여한 바 2023. 3. 2. 거래지원 종료를 결정하였습니다.
  • 소유하고 계신 NU를 T로 스왑하기를 희망하시는 분들은 NU를 개인 지갑으로 옮기신 후 아래 공식 스왑 사이트를 이용하여 직접 스왑을 진행하여 주시기 바랍니다.
  • 현재 NU와 T의 교환비율은 3.26으로, NU를 T로 교환하는 경우 1 NU당 3.26T로 스왑이 됩니다.
  • 본 공지 게재 시점 이후 급격한 가격 변동 등으로 인하여 스왑에 따른 T의 원화 환산 가격은 상이할 수 있으니 가격 변동에 유의하시기 바랍니다.

해당 디지털 자산의 마켓 거래지원이 종료되더라도, 거래지원종료정책에 의거하여 거래지원 종료일로부터 30일간(~2023. 5. 2.) 출금을 지원합니다.

[Trading] Termination of market support for NuCypher(NU) (04/02 12:00)

Dear Upbit users,

This is Upbit, the most trusted global standard digital asset exchange.

We would like to inform you of the termination of market support for NuCypher(NU) in accordance with our Policy on the Termination of Market Support for digital assets. The termination will take effect at 2023. 4. 2. at 12:00, for the purpose of investor protection.

  • Following the merger of NuCypher(NU) and Keep Network(KEEP) into Threshold(T), the role of NU has been replaced by T. As a result, Upbit issued an investment warning on NU on 2022. 3. 2.. 
  • As of the date of this notice, it has been determined that there are no ongoing projects related to NU, and all projects are being carried out solely by the merged Threshold. Therefore, it is judged that the role of NU has been completely replaced by T. In addition, it has been confirmed that the liquidity of NU is continuing to decrease, as over half of the total issued NU has been swapped to T by 2023-02-28.

[Common notes regarding the termination of market support]

  • Termination of market support for digital assets is grounded on Upbit’s Policy on the termination of market support for digital assets.

  • Market support for NU will be terminated at 2023. 4. 2. 12:00. 
  • Upon the termination of market support, orders (buy / sell) in the market requested prior to the termination of market support will be cancelled.
  • After this notice, Upbit will not support services for the digital asset whose market support is to be terminated. This includes services for airdrop, wallet upgrade, hard fork, etc.
  • Deposits for digital assets whose market support is designated for termination cannot be made after this notice. 

[Termination of market support]

NuCypher(NU)

  • Market : NU/KRW, NU/BTC
  • Termination schedule : 2023. 4. 2. 12:00 (KST)
  • Reason for the termination of market support
    • On 2022. 3. 2., Upbit issued an investment warning for NU after the project merged with KEEP and decided to use digital asset T. 
    • Rather than carrying out a bulk swap, Upbit allowed users to choose whether to trade NU or T, in order to prevent members from suffering losses due to market price differences between the two assets.
    • Since the investment warning was issued, a considerable period of time has passed, and T has now completely replaced the role previously played by NU. In addition, holders of NU have been given ample time to dispose of or voluntarily swap their NU during the investment warning period. Therefore, Upbit decided on 2023. 3. 2. to terminate market support for NU. 
  • Those who wish to swap their NU for T should transfer their NU to a personal wallet and use the official swap site below for a direct swap:
  • The current exchange rate between NU and T is 3.26, meaning that 1 NU will be swapped for 3.26T.
  • Please note that the Korean Won conversion price of T resulting from the swap may vary due to sudden price fluctuations or other factors that may occur after this notice. 

Even if market support for the digital asset gets terminated, withdrawals will be supported for 30 days (~ 2023. 5. 2.) from the date of termination in accordance with Upbit’s Policy on the termination of market support.
In case you need withdrawal, please make sure to do so before 2023. 5. 2.
