- 거래지원 종료 사유
- 특정금융거래정보의 보고 및 이용 등에 관한 법률(이하 특정금융정보법) 및 관계 법령 등에 따르면 거래소는 전송기록이 식별될 수 없도록 하는 기술(이하 “익명 전송 기술”)이 내재된 디지털 자산에 대하여 전송기록을 확인할 수 있는지 여부를 확인하고, 익명 전송 기술 등이 발견된 경우 적정한 조치를 취하여야 합니다. 업비트는 위와 같은 관계 법령을 준수하고 자금세탁행위 및 공중협박자금조달행위를 방지하기 위해 최선의 노력을 다하고 있습니다.
- 라이트코인(LTC) 재단에서 진행한 밈블윔블(MimbleWimble Extension Blocks, MWEB) 네트워크 업그레이드 내용에 따르면 거래 정보가 노출되지 않는 선택 기능이 포함되어있는 업그레이드가 진행되었고, 이에 업비트는 라이트코인(LTC)에 익명 전송 기술이 추가된 것으로 볼 소지가 있다고 판단하여 2022년 5월 23일 라이트코인(LTC)을 유의종목으로 지정한 바 있습니다.
- 업비트는 라이트코인(LTC)의 익명 전송 기술에 대하여 재단에 소명 요청을 하였고, 소명에 대한 회신을 바탕으로 익명 전송 기술에 대해 면밀한 검토 절차를 거쳤습니다. 검토 결과 금번 네트워크 업그레이드에 포함된 거래 정보가 노출되지 않는 선택 기능이 특정금융정보법령상 익명 전송 기술에 해당한다고 판단하여 라이트코인(LTC)을 거래지원을 종료하기로 결정했습니다.
해당 디지털 자산의 마켓 거래지원이 종료되더라도, 거래지원 종료 정책에 의거하여 거래지원 종료일로부터 30일간(~2022-07-20) 출금을 지원합니다.
위 디지털 자산의 출금이 필요하신 회원님들께서는 반드시 2022-07-20 전까지 출금을 진행해주시기 바랍니다.

We hereby announce the end of market support for Litecoin(LTC).
We are ending the market support on 2022-06-20 11:00, in accordance with Upbit’s policy for the termination of market support.

- According to the Termination Policy of Market Support for Upbit Digital Asset, the market support of Litecoin(LTC) will be ended on Upbit.

- With the end of market support, orders (buy / sell) in the market requested prior to the end of market support will be canceled.
- After this notice, Upbit will not support services including airdrop, wallet upgrade, hard fork, etc. for digital asset whose market support is expected to be terminated.

Litecoin(LTC)
- Applicable Market : LTC/KRW, LTC/BTC, LTC/USDT
- Timeline : 2022-06-20 11:00 (KST)
- Reasons for the end of market support
- According to the Act on Reporting and Using Specified Financial Transaction Information, exchanges shall verify whether transmission records can be verified for digital assets with the technology that prevents transmission records from being identified (hereinafter referred to as “anonymous transmission technology”), and take appropriate action if anonymous transmission technology is to be found. Upbit is committed to complying with the aforementioned relevant laws and regulations and to prevent money laundering and public threat financing.
- When reviewed the network upgrade conducted by the LTC Foundation MimbleWimble Extension Blocks,MWEB, the upgrade was found to involve the selection of option that enables users to not expose transaction information. As a result, Upbit issued an investment warning for Litecoin(LTC) on May 23, 2022, as we have decided that the addition of anonymous transmission technology to Litecoin (LTC) is likely.
- Upbit asked the Litecoin(LTC) Foundation to provide explanation for its technology, and went through a torough review based on their reply. As a result of the review, we decided to end market support for LiteCoin (LTC) based on the judgment that the option included in the upgraded network, which enable users to not expose transaction information, corresponds to ‘anonymous transmission technology’ under the Act on Reporting and Using Specified Financial Transaction Information.
Although the market support is ended, according to the Termination Policy of Market Support for Upbit Digital Asset, Upbit will support withdrawal service for the next 30 days from the end of market support is executed(~2022-07-20). If you wish to make the withdrawal, please do so prior to 2022-07-20.
