1. 품사 (Parts of Speech)

품사	설명
명사 (Noun)	사람, 사물, 장소, 개념을 나타냄. ex) book, Korea
대명사 (Pronoun)	명사를 대신함. ex) he, it, those
동사 (Verb)	동작이나 상태 표현. be동사/조동사 포함
형용사 (Adjective)	명사를 수식함. ex) good, tall
부사 (Adverb)	동사/형용사/부사 수식. ex) very, quickly
전치사 (Preposition)	명사와 다른 요소 연결. ex) in, on, at
접속사 (Conjunction)	문장/구/절 연결. ex) and, but, because
감탄사 (Interjection)	감정 표현. ex) Wow!, Oh no!

3. 시제 (Tense)

시제	예시
현재	I eat.
과거	I ate.
미래	I will eat.
현재진행	I am eating.
과거진행	I was eating.
현재완료	I have eaten.
과거완료	I had eaten.
미래완료	I will have eaten.

→ 총 12시제: 단순, 진행, 완료, 완료진행 × 현재/과거/미래

4. 조동사 (Modal Verbs)

조동사	의미	예문
can / could	능력, 가능성	She can swim.
may / might	허락, 약한 가능성	You may leave.
must	의무, 강한 추측	You must stop.
shall / should	제안, 조언	You should try.
will / would	미래, 가정	I would help.

• 뒤에는 동사 원형
• 과거/가정 표현 시 조합 사용: should have p.p., would have p.p.

5. 수동태 (Passive Voice)

• be + p.p.
• 능동: She wrote a book.
• 수동: A book was written.

시제	수동태 형태
현재	is/are + p.p.
과거	was/were + p.p.
현재완료	has/have been + p.p.
진행	is/was being + p.p.
조동사	must be + p.p.

6. 가정법 (Conditionals)

0형	If + 현재, 현재	일반적 사실
1형	If + 현재, will + 동사원형	가능성
2형	If + 과거, would + 동사원형	현재 반대
3형	If + had p.p., would have p.p.	과거 반대
혼합형	If + had p.p., would + 동사원형	과거 원인 → 현재 결과

7. 관계사 (Relative Pronouns)

8. 비교 (Comparison)

원급: as ~ as

• He is as tall as me.

비교급: ~er / more ~

• She is taller than I am.
• much/even/still + 비교급

최상급: the ~est / the most ~

• He is the best player.

불규칙 변화

• good → better → best
• bad → worse → worst

9. 부정표현 (Negation)

• 기본: not, never, no, nothing, nobody
• 이중부정 피하기: ❌ I don’t know nothing → ✅ I don’t know anything
• 강조 표현:
  • not at all / not always / by no means / under no circumstances
  • 도치 발생: Never have I seen…
